Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF)

Founded in 1968, MALDEF is the nation’s leading Latino legal civil rights organization. Our commitment is to protect and defend the rights of all Latinos living in the United States and the constitutional rights of all Americans.

Project overview:

MALDEF’s work will center on advocacy to update OMB’s race and ethnicity standards, as well as research and development of a policy platform for data disaggregation of health, education, and criminal justice data for Latino communities. MALDEF’s approach will focus on stakeholder education through materials, workshops, and webinars, including a Latino data disaggregation summit.
