Arab American Institute Foundation (AAIF)

For over twenty years, AAIF has engaged with the 3.7 million Arab Americans living in all 50 states to encourage their full participation in local, state, and national governance.

Project overview:

Building upon its work to revise OMB standards prior to the 2020 Census, AAI will lead an advocacy campaign with its coalition partners to promote the adoption of a Middle Eastern/North African category through successful revision of OMB’s federal standards for race/ethnicity data collection. AAI also plans to work with its state partners in California, Maryland, Michigan, and New York to advance data disaggregation policy focused on MENA communities.
