AAJC Leads National Push to Implement—and Protect—Revised Federal Race & Ethnicity Standards

Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC)
AAJC’s mission is to advance civil and human rights for Asian Americans and to build and promote a fair and equitable society for all.
Project overview:
AAJC’s data disaggregation work will focus on continuing to advocate for federal data disaggregation policy for Asian American communities through efforts to build upon the success of the revised SPD 15. At the same time, AAJC will also work to protect against any attempted regression of SPD 15, including failure to adopt and/or implement the revised SPD 15 or any attempts to eliminate the collection of any race or ethnicity data. AAJC’s approach will include research, advocacy, litigation, community engagement, and/or communications, leveraging its role as a leader in federal data advocacy for Asian American communities and a broad network of community partners. In addition to these various strategies, when possible, we disaggregate data in our internal and external work products, ensuring that our work products reflect the diverse Asian American community.
