AltaMed is on a mission to eliminate disparities in health care access and outcomes by providing superior quality health and human services through an integrated delivery system for Latino, multi-ethnic and often-overlooked communities in Southern California.

Project overview:

To increase the community’s knowledge on the importance of data and data disaggregation in the healthcare space, AltaMed will work in partnership with Latino Coalition for a Healthy California to identify, train and develop advocates for the community (promotores) in Los Angeles and Orange Counties; develop curriculum to deconstruct the topic of data disaggregation and highlight the importance of “equity” in the health space; and develop an advocacy toolkit for promotores to raise awareness around the census and data disaggregation and bring about policy change.
