The Center for Health Innovation (CHI) is a nonprofit organization focusing on community health and is designated the New Mexico Public Health Institute by the National Network of Public Health Institutes. CHI’s mission is to work with communities to advance health and social justice through innovative and effective policies and programs.
Project overview:
CHI will assess and document the degree to which NMDOH has implemented the Health Systems Information Act (HB18) through NMDOH dataset identification; identify systemic, organizational, and bureaucratic barriers to HB18’s implementation and compliance; partner with NMDOH and other governmental agencies or departments to identify solutions to these barriers; and encourage and support NMDOH’s efforts to comply with HB18 and assist with the implementation of solutions.
